It\u2019s almost time for a brand new season of \u201cSaturday Night Live.\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no new episode of \u201cSNL\u201d on Saturday, Sept. 20. <\/b>The sketch comedy show returns for season 51 on Saturday, Oct. 4. The new season will kick off with host Bad Bunny and musical guest Doja Cat. <\/p>\n

Bad Bunny has been the \u201cSNL\u201d musical guest three times, including in October 2023, when he also served as host. However, the season 51 premiere will mark his first time solely hosting. The rapper has been doing more acting recently, including his roles in \u201cHappy Gilmore 2\u2033 and \u201cCaught Stealing.\u201d <\/p>\n

Saturday, Oct. 4:<\/b> Bad Bunny with musical guest Doja Cat<\/p>\n

Saturday, Oct. 11: <\/b>Amy Poehler with musical guest Role Model<\/p>\n

Saturday, Oct. 18: <\/b>Sabrina Carpenter as both host and musical guest<\/p>\n

Bad Bunny previously hosted \u201cSNL\u201d in October 2023 and served as musical guest in February 2021, October 2023, and May 2025. The season 51 premiere will mark Doja Cat\u2019s \u201cSNL\u201d debut.<\/p>\n

Also making his \u201cSNL\u201d debut this fall is singer-songwriter Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Harrington Pillsbury. He\u2019ll share the Oct. 11 episode with Poehler, who was an \u201cSNL\u201d cast member from 2001-2008. Poehler hasn\u2019t been back to helm the show since 2015, when she cohosted with Tina Fey. <\/p>\n

In another \u201cSNL\u201d first, Carpenter is set to making her hosting debut on Oct. 18. She previously served as the musical guest during a May 2024 episode. <\/p>\n

Who is in the \u2018SNL\u2019 season 51 cast?<\/h2>\n

Five \u201cSNL\u201d cast members left the show<\/a> ahead of season 51: Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, Michael Longfellow, Heidi Gardner, and Ego Nwodim.<\/p>\n

Taking the place of the outgoing alums are five new cast members:<\/a> Veronika Slowikowska, Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson, and Ben Marshall.<\/p>\n

Marshall is already known to \u201cSNL\u201d fans as a member of Please Don\u2019t Destroy, which has been producing digital shorts for \u201cSNL\u201d since 2021. The comedy group won\u2019t be making videos for season 51.<\/p>\n

Michael Che, Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, Chloe Fineman, Marcello Hern\u00e1ndez, James Austin Johnson, Colin Jost, Sarah Sherman, Kenan Thompson, Bowen Yang, Ashley Padilla, and Jane Wickline are all expected to return for season 51.<\/p>\n

Season 51 of \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d premieres on NBC on Saturday, October 4. Past episodes are <\/b><\/i>available to stream on Peacock<\/b><\/i><\/a>.<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n
