Interscope, the record label representing D4vd, a rising R&B artist with millions of fans and followers, has reportedly suspended the release of the singer\u2019s upcoming album and all music promotion for him after a dismembered teenage girl was found in the trunk of an impounded Tesla that was registered to him, TMZ reported. <\/p>\n
The grisly Sept. 8 discovery of the 15-year-old\u2019s remains<\/a> came after an employee at Hollywood Tow reported a foul stench coming from the vehicle, which had been in yard for about five days.<\/p>\n It was impounded at the yard after being abandoned in the Hollywood Hills for an unknown amount of time, the Los Angeles Police Department reported. <\/p>\n The L.A. County Medical Examiner\u2019s report<\/a> stated that the teen, now identified as Celeste Rivas Hernandez, had been dead for some time. It was later learned that she was reported missing and had last been seen April 2024 when she was only 13 years old. <\/p>\n Since the discovery of the teen\u2019s remains a little more than a week ago, additional details allegedly linking Rivas to 20-year-old David Anthony Burke<\/a>, the singer\u2019s real name, have emerged, including alleged matching tattoos on the victim\u2019s and his right index finger with the letters \u201cShhh,\u201d a photo of the musician in Lake Elsinore not far from the teen\u2019s home, as well as reportedly leaked December 2023 song titled \u201cCelest_demo unfin,\u201d all first reported by TMZ. <\/p>\n The R&B artist, who has been on tour, performed at the Fillmore Minneapolis in Minneapolis, Minnesota on the day news broke that the Tesla was registered to him. <\/p>\n The day before, when Rivas\u2019 remains were discovered in the Tesla, D4vd posted on Instagram about his new album \u201cWithered Deluxe: Marcescence,\u201d which was due to drop on Sept. 19.<\/p>\n Celeste Hernandez Rivas, 15, was found dismembered in the trunk of a Tesla at an L.A. tow yard on Sept. 8, 2025. Everyone ATE THEIR VERSES UP,\u201d the caption read.<\/p>\n Dismembered teen girl, 15, met D4vd on social media, alleged former teacher says <\/a><\/p>\n The singer is known for hits like \u201cRomantic Homicide\u201d and \u201cHere With Me\u201d and was supposed to perform in Seattle last night before the concert was abruptly cancelled. <\/p>\n The 20-year-old was slated to perform at The Greek on Saturday, though it\u2019s unclear if the concert will continue as planned. <\/p>\n A search warrant was executed Wednesday at a residence in the 13000 block of Doheny Place in the Hollywood Hills, a home D4vd was reportedly staying at.\u00a0\u201cSeveral items of evidence were recovered and will be analyzed by detectives in the coming days. This is an ongoing investigation,\u201d an LAPD spokesperson told KTLA. \u201cInvestigators are following up on several leads.\u201d<\/p>\n So far, no arrests have been and it\u2019s unclear if the singer has been cooperating with investigators.<\/p>\n\n
