Josh Radnor<\/strong> is arguably best known for his role as Ted Mosby on How I Met Your Mother,<\/em> and he recently revealed why watching the beloved sitcom has been “healing” for him one decade after the show ended.<\/p>\n While appearing on Jesse Tyler Ferguson<\/strong>‘s “Dinner\u2019s on Me” podcast<\/a>, Radnor, 51, explained he decided to start a rewatch podcast with co-creator Craig Thomas<\/strong> after he began to rewatch the show with his wife, Jordana Jacobs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n “She wanted to watch the show and it had been 20 years since it premiered and I called Craig Thomas, who I remained very dear friends with one of the creators, and I said, ‘I’m gonna rewatch the show, do you want to do something a little more formal and kind of like have some conversations on the record about this strange time in our lives and what it was like and what it meant?'” he said of how the origin of the podcast, which is called “How We Made Your Mother<\/a>,”<\/p>\n Now that he’s rewatched the first season, Radnor said he’s “actually been really delighted and it’s been quite healing for me.”<\/p>\n “Because I don’t know if you went through this, but like, especially in the early seasons, I was incredibly hard on myself and\u2026 I found it hard to watch myself and now I’m watching it with some distance and some like more tenderness and compassion for myself,” he explained. “And I’m like, ‘You were doing a really good job. I get why they’re connected to my character.’ Like I’ve been able to look at it much more compassionately and kind of almost like, I love this thing.”<\/p>\n Radnor starred on the sitcom as Ted, a man navigating dating in New York City as he set out to find his dream woman.
