Gayle King<\/a> says that she has a \u201cgirl crush\u201d on Cardi B<\/a> following their headline-making TV sitdown.<\/p>\n TMZ<\/a> <\/em>spoke with King in New York City about her recent interview with Cardi, in which the latter revealed the existence of the baby in her womb.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s in a really good headspace and I\u2019m happy for her,\u201d said King. \u201cI walked away with a girl crush on Cardi B.\u201d<\/p>\n King continued on, praising Cardi and her decisions.<\/p>\n COMPLEX SHOP:<\/b> Shop the brands you love, anytime and anywhere. Obsess.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI think if you underestimate her, you do it at your own peril,\u201d said King. \u201cShe knows exactly what she\u2019s doing.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s very excited about the baby, and she says so is Stefon,\u201d King continued. \u201cShe is ready for the new album, new music, and she wants us all to play \u2014 and I\u2019m here for her. She\u2019s a doll.\u201d<\/p>\n Cardi revealed her pregnancy on Sept. 17 during an interview with King on CBS Mornings. <\/em>During the interview, she explained why she chose to wait to tell the world about it.<\/p>\n \u201cI just was like, can I just say it on my own time?\u201d Cardi said. \u201cI\u2019m not hiding. On my own terms. Let me close some deals first. You don\u2019t really wanna say right away that you\u2019re pregnant. Let me see a couple more sonograms, let my baby be healthy.\u201d<\/p>\n Cardi then revealed that she hadn\u2019t even told her parents about the pregnancy by the time that the interview was filmed.<\/p>\n \u201cI have to tell them this week before this interview comes out,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n The rapper also spoke about her relationship with Stefon Diggs, who she said makes her feel \u201csafe\u201d and \u201cconfident.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cEverybody kept telling us to have fun, and we had a little bit of too much fun, and now I\u2019m here,\u201d Cardi later joked. \u201cWe had too much fun. We\u2019re very excited. We\u2019re very happy.\u201d<\/p>\n Cardi\u2019s second studio album Am I the Drama?<\/a> <\/em>came out on Sept. 19. A few months ahead of its release, Cardi shared a teaser video about the LP that gave some details about its content.<\/p>\n \u201cSeven years of love, life, and loss.
