Donald Trump has been bragging about a “recent” phone call he had with Tom Cruise<\/a>, even after the A-lister turned down an invitation<\/a> to be honored at this year\u2019s Kennedy Center Honors.<\/p>\n

During a speech at the American Cornerstone Institute Founder\u2019s Dinner on September 20 , Trump spoke warmly of Cruise, telling the crowd, “They looked like Tom Cruise,” referring to US Air Force pilots.<\/p>\n

“They are all great looking guys. I would have said Tom Cruise. He called me about something recently, he was such a nice guy, I\u2019m not going to say… I’m just saying, he’s a hell of a looking guy but these people are great,” Trump added, just days after touting new ‘gold’ visas.<\/a><\/p>\n

The praise comes as the Washington Post reported Cruise declined the White House\u2019s offer to be included among this year\u2019s honorees, citing “scheduling conflicts.”<\/p>\n

The 2025 Kennedy Center Honors, set for December 7, will recognize Sylvester Stallone, Gloria Gaynor, KISS, George Strait, and Michael Crawford.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Reacting to Trump’s comments about Cruise, fans took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to voice their opinions.<\/p>\n

“Tom Cruise did not call Donald Trump<\/a>,” one post read.<\/p>\n

Another noted Trump\u2019s phrasing, writing, “This is how Trump speaks. He can\u2019t form normal sentences.”<\/p>\n

“We hope Trump can graduate from U.S. politics and move on to Scientology and do to it what he did to America,” a third penned.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
