Zara Larsson has never felt body insecurity.
The 27-year-old singer-songwriter credits growing up in a family that embraced nudity for feeling confident about her slim figure.
Zara told The Sun on Sunday newspaper’s Biz on Sunday column: “I\u2019ve always been very neutral towards my body and in my body.
“I think it\u2019s because I come from a very naked family. And all my friends, we were always naked around each other.
“I used to go to ballet school, and we would stand in front of the mirror all day in tight little leotards and tights.
“My body doesn\u2019t have to exist in the context of it being sexual or it having to look pretty.\u201d
The Lush Life hitmaker said she has seen her weight go up and down over the years, but ultimately, she is not fazed by what it looks like.
Zara added: “I just don\u2019t really care for it, actually.
“At least not now, and I hope I won\u2019t when I get older or when I have kids. My body will change.
“I\u2019ve been lucky that my brain just focuses on other stuff.”
The pop star drops her fifth studio album, Midnight Sun, on September 26, and it features 10 tracks.
One of the songs on the album is Crush, whose lyrics explore the conflict of catching feelings for someone whilst already being in a stable relationship.
In the music video, Zara dons a “huge diaper” to create the illusion of an aesthetically-enhanced bum, and she is bitten on the bottom by a Computer-generated imagery (CGI) spider after she fantasises about a crush.
And the singer grew to love her temporary big backside.
Zara – who is in a relationship with 32-year-old dancer Lamin Holmen – recalled: “It was so strange because on set I was looking at myself because I had this huge diaper that made my buttocks really, really large.
“After a day of wearing that, I was like, ‘This doesn\u2019t even look that weird anymore, I feel like it looks quite natural.\u2019
“My boyfriend was like, \u2018No … it\u2019s pretty big!'”
And the WOW performer thought the diaper should have been bigger.
Zara added: “These days, I see bodies online where women enhance them to get a really tiny waist, really big boobs, really big butts.
“It was so crazy that even just after one day of having that diaper on, I was like, ‘Is it that crazy? I feel like it\u2019s kind of small, we should have made it bigger!’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
