Reba McEntire <\/strong>recently opened up about life after her divorce from Narvel Blackstock<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Esquire<\/a><\/em> published earlier this week, the country star, 70, admitted she had a rough time after she and Blackstock, 70 \u2014 with whom she shares son Shelby Blackstock<\/strong>, 35 \u2014 ended their 26-year union in 2015.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy manager was my husband from 1989 to 2015. Everybody took care of everything,\u201d the Voice<\/em> judge recalled. \u201cAll I had to do was get up and sing. When that dissolved, all that team went with him, and I was scared to death.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was deserted, abandoned and left,\u201d she added. \u201cI threw a fit.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the \u201cI\u2019m a Survivor\u201d hitmaker was able to rebuild her life.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then there they were, my angels, right there beside me,\u201d she explained. \u201c\u2018Hey, you\u2019re learning. You didn\u2019t know how much a gallon of milk was, now you do. Now get out there. You can do it. You\u2019re tough. We taught you better.’\u201d<\/p>\n

McEntire \u2014 who lost her stepson<\/a>, Brandon Blackstock<\/strong>, to melanoma cancer in August \u2014 noted her faith has helped her through difficult times.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how I would get through the day without my faith,\u201d she told Esquire<\/em>. \u201cIt\u2019s there to celebrate with me, and it\u2019s there to help me get back on my feet when something really horrible happens.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Happy\u2019s Place<\/em> actress is now engaged to her boyfriend, Rex Linn<\/strong>, whom she began dating in 2020, according to People<\/a>. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
