{"id":2038556,"date":"2025-09-21T07:23:32","date_gmt":"2025-09-21T07:23:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2038556"},"modified":"2025-09-21T07:23:32","modified_gmt":"2025-09-21T07:23:32","slug":"pianist-valentin-magyar-to-perform-at-jorgensen-center-on-sept-23","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/pianist-valentin-magyar-to-perform-at-jorgensen-center-on-sept-23\/","title":{"rendered":"Pianist Valentin Magyar to perform at Jorgensen Center on Sept. 23"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div data-article-body=\"true\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">STORRS \u2014 A Hungarian pianist will take the stage at the Jorgensen Center later this month as the first concert in the 2025-2026 Lenard Chamber Music Series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Pianist Valentin Magyar will perform on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are still on sale for the concert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Magyar, a 24-year-old musician, started playing the piano at the age of five in his native town of Balassagyarmat in Northern Hungary.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">At only 14 years old, Magyar was admitted to the class of special talents at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Currently, Magyar is doing his masters with G\u00e1bor Farkas and D\u00e9nes V\u00e1rjon, and simultaneously in Berlin at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy with Kirill Gerstein.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">At a young age, Magyar has performed in several competitions and has won several awards, including a gold medal at the 2023 Vienna International Music Competition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In 2024, Magyar made his debut in China with a solo and orchestral performance in Shanghai and Suzhou.
