Jane Lynch had a \u201cGlee\u201d reunion with several former co-stars in the \u201cCelebrity Weakest Link\u201d season premiere (Mondays on Fox at 9 p.m.), and told The Post, \u201cI was thrilled. I put the tracksuit on again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lynch, 65, was referring to the outfit her \u201cGlee\u201d character, Sue Sylvester, wore.\u00a0\u201cThey actually had to make me one because the one I used to have, I gave away to an auction,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n

Lynch hosted a \u201cWeakest Link\u201d revival that ran on NBC from 2020 to 2024, and now, she has moved over to Fox to host the continued iteration of the show, \u201cCelebrity Weakest Link.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cGlee\u201d reunion episode on Sept. 15 saw her reunite with Chord Overstreet, Becca Tobin, Heather Morris, Dot-Marie Jones, Jenna Ushkowitz, Amber Riley, Max Adler and Alex Newell.<\/p>\n

They all starred on the Fox musical show,<\/a> which aired for over 100 episodes from 2009 to 2015.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 40-Year-Old Virgin\u201d actress said she was especially surprised by how well Overstreet and Morris did, because their \u201ccharacters in the show were kind of dim.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess I probably protected them,\u201d she added. \u201cI thought they were great. They surprised me. They were wonderful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Among her former co-stars, Lynch said, she\u2019s in touch with Morris and Tobin, \u201cI see Chord, I see Dot. Matt [Morrison] wasn\u2019t on [Celebrity Weakest Link], he\u2019s out touring, but I still consider him a good friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cast of \u201cGlee\u201d have had disparate career trajectories since the show ended \u2013 Cory Monteith tragically died at age 31<\/a> during production in 2013; Jonathan Groff, Lea Michele, and Darren Criss have become Broadway stars<\/a>; Morrison appeared on \u201cSo You Think You Can Dance<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked about her ex-colleagues\u2019 different paths, Lynch said, \u201cI mean, the talent always rises to the top\u2026\u2026 Becca\u2019s got a great podcast. Lea is doing gangbusters. Darren has just soared. I think talent wins out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lynch also had a stint on Hulu\u2019s hit \u201cOnly Murders in the Building,\u201d<\/a> appearing as Sazz Pataki for several episodes through the show\u2019s run \u2013 until she was the murder victim at the end of Season 3.<\/p>\n

She recalled Steve Martin as being the \u201cnicest man in the world, and so is Martin Short.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSteve is the kindest, most mellow, charming, and funny guy. We live [near each other] too, so we have dinner together and it\u2019s lovely.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the upcoming episodes of \u201cCelebrity Weakest Link,\u201d Lynch said that she was surprised by \u201cParenthood\u201d actress Monica Potter.<\/p>\n

\u201cMonica Potter is in the TV Moms episode, and she looks like she\u2019s spacey and kind of out of it. She didn\u2019t seem connected, but she was brilliant. I thought, \u2018This is gonna be good because she\u2019ll be funny,\u2019 but there were a couple rounds where she answered every question correctly, that doesn\u2019t happen. She surprised me. She leads you to believe she\u2019s confused, and she\u2019s razor sharp,\u201d Lynch explained.<\/p>\n

The star confessed, however, that she puts on a persona as the game show host.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, I act like I love it, my [game show host] character kind of relishes telling people to take a hike [when they\u2019re sent home]. But inside, I don\u2019t feel great.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cBut we do it all in good fun. Everybody knows the gig, nobody takes it personally.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
