More details about the circumstances of Charlie Kirk<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s death have come to light.<\/p>\n

Andrew Kolvet<\/strong>, a spokesperson for Kirk\u2019s Turning Point USA and an executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show<\/i>, claimed to have recently spoken with a doctor who treated Kirk\u2019s fatal injuries.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to address some of the discussion about the lack of an exit wound with Charlie,\u201d Kolvet wrote via X<\/a> on Saturday, September 20. \u201cI\u2019m usually not interested in delving into most of this kind of online chatter, and I apologize this is somewhat graphic, but in this case, the fact that there wasn\u2019t an exit wound is probably another miracle, and I want people to know.\u201d<\/p>\n

The conservative political activist was shot and killed<\/a> earlier in September while giving a speech in Utah. He was 31.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just spoke with the surgeon who worked on Charlie in the hospital. He said the bullet \u2018absolutely should have gone through,\u2019\u201d Kolvet said on Saturday, noting the physician explained it\u2019s \u201cvery normal\u201d for a gunshot wound. \u201c[He told me,] \u2018I\u2019ve seen wounds from this caliber many times and they always just go through everything. This would have taken a moose or two down, an elk, etc.\u2019 But it didn\u2019t go through. Charlie\u2019s body stopped it.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Kolvet told the doctor that Kirk did not have an exit wound, he proclaimed, \u201cIt was an absolute miracle that someone else didn\u2019t get killed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018His bone was so healthy and the density was so, so impressive that he\u2019s like the man of steel. It should have just gone through and through. It likely would have killed those standing behind him too,\u2019\u201d Kolvet recalled of the doctor\u2019s remarks. \u201cIn the end, the coroner did find the bullet just beneath the skin. Even in death, Charlie managed to save the lives of those around him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Charlie will be laid to rest in a Sunday, September 21, memorial and is survived by his wife, Erika Kirk<\/strong> <\/a>(n\u00e9e Frantzve), and the couple\u2019s two children.<\/p>\n

Erika, 36, later spoke to The New York Times <\/i><\/a>in a wide-ranging interview published on Sunday, revealing that she saw Charlie\u2019s body after his death against medical advice.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis eyes were semi-open. And he had this knowing, Mona Lisa-like half-smile,\u201d she recalled to The Times.<\/i> \u201cLike he\u2019d died happy. Like Jesus rescued him. The bullet came, he blinked and he was in heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n
