Miley Cyrus<\/strong> is addressing her complicated relationship with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus<\/strong>, in a new song.<\/p>\n On Thursday, September 18, the pop star, 32, released \u201cSecrets\u201d and an accompanying music video featuring Fleetwood Mac\u2019s Lindsey Buckingham<\/strong> and Mick Fleetwood. <\/strong><\/p>\n The Grammy Award winner shared a snippet from the music video on Instagram<\/a> and noted in her caption that the track was for the 64-year-old \u201cAchy Breaky Heart\u201d hitmaker.<\/p>\n \u201cThis song was written as a peace offering for someone I had lost for a time but always loved,\u201d Cyrus explained in her caption. \u201cIn my experience, forgiveness and freedom are one and the same.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis song is for my dad,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n In the song, Miley sings, \u201cCan I be your hero? \/ Call off all your forces \/ A white flag in the war.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cLove is not a prison \/ I\u2019m not a guard, no \/ So even when I\u2019m holding you \/ I won\u2019t lock you up,\u201d she further sang.<\/p>\n As Star<\/em> previously reported<\/a>, the former Disney actress and the country singer\u2019s relationship reportedly became strained after he divorced his wife, Tish Cyrus,<\/strong> in 2022 and got engaged to singer Firerose<\/strong> only four months later.<\/p>\n \u201cMiley had a huge problem with the way Billy Ray treated Tish.
