It’s like, you’re OK again, but also, OK, I’m really going to go through this whole thing again?

“The whole EP is focused on relationships, which is different to what I’ve done before. A lot of my other songs I take from different parts of my life, but these are about the arc from one relationship ending to another one beginning.”

Love Music?

Get your daily dose of everything happening in Australian/New Zealand music and globally.

Co-written with Matt Hastings and Val Hoyt, “how i feel?” completes the relationship cycle, Pittman says, as it “ends up where we started at death row but in a different scenario where I’m the one in limbo.”

Pittman reunited with friend, music director, and photographer Jack Craig, and director and cinematographer Jordan Ruyi Blanch, to shoot the accompanying music video in Melbourne.

Shooting on 16mm film allowed the trio to step back, embrace imperfections and enjoy the process, which Craig says matched the emotion of the track.

“We knew we wanted the video to stay tasteful and open to interpretation. I think being more vulnerable, more open with yourself is going to bring people in more.
