Tom Holland reportedly suffered a concussion on the set of \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day,\u201d forcing Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures to pause filming.<\/p>\n
According to the Daily Mail<\/a>, the 29-year-old actor \u201ccracked his head\u201d after he suffered a fall at Leavesden Studios in Watford, England on Friday.<\/p>\n The incident reportedly occurred during a stunt gone wrong.<\/p>\n Holland was hospitalized and treated for a mild concussion, while no one else on the set was injured, The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> confirmed.<\/p>\n The outlet also reported that Holland is \u201ctaking a break from filming for several days.\u201d<\/p>\n Sony is reportedly meeting Monday to discuss filming plans.<\/p>\n The Post has reached out to Holland\u2019s rep and Sony Pictures for comment.<\/p>\n The day after the incident, Holland made a rare public appearance with his fianc\u00e9e and co-star, Zendaya, at Christie\u2019s auction house in London. The British actor hosted a Posh Pub Quiz with The Brothers Trust, the charity he runs with his three brothers.<\/p>\n The couple<\/a>, who got engaged late last year, posed for a photo at Saturday\u2019s event that was shared by guest Laura Hope Whitaker, co-founder of\u00a0Java Joy.<\/p>\n Holland wore a black suit with a white button-up shirt and black bowtie, while Zendaya, 29, stunned in a black dress.<\/p>\n \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day\u201d\u00a0began filming in Glasgow, Scotland, on Aug. 1, marking Holland\u2019s fourth standalone turn as the web-slinging superhero. <\/p>\n Holland teased his new costume for the film on Instagram<\/a>\u00a0shortly before filming kicked off, and he also revealed the superhero flick\u2019s release date.<\/p>\n \u201cAre you ready?\u201d he wrote. \u201c7.31.2026.\u201d<\/p>\n Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day\u201d is set to pick up after the events of 2021\u2019s \u201cSpider-Man: No Way Home\u201d and\u00a0before those of \u201cAvengers: Doomsday.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n Zendaya is expected to reprise her role Spider-Man\u2019s love interest, Michelle \u201cMJ\u201d Jones. Other MCU stars set to appear in the film include Jacob Batalon\u00a0as Peter and MJ\u2019s BFF, Ned Leeds, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher and Michael Mando as the Scorpion.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, \u201cStranger Things\u201d star Sadie Sink and \u201cThe Bear\u201d actress Liza Col\u00f3n-Zayas have both been confirmed to join the cast.<\/p>\n Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, teased the fourth \u201cSpider-Man\u201d movie to\u00a0Collider<\/a>\u00a0in July.<\/p>\n \u201cI think there\u2019s a promise at the end of\u00a0\u2018No Way Home,\u2019 that for as sad as it is that Peter is forgotten by everyone in his life, we are seeing for the first time in the Tom Holland\u00a0\u2018Spider-Man\u2019\u00a0stories, him being a proper Spider-Man,\u201d\u00a0Feige, 52, shared.<\/p>\n \u201cHim being by himself, dedicated to saving the city, and dealing with \u2013 for lack of better terms \u2013 street-level crime, as opposed to world-ending events,\u201d Feige added.<\/p>\n \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day\u201d is expected to be released in theaters on July 31, 2026.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
