Less than a month after she last appeared on Today<\/a><\/em>, Hoda Kotb<\/a> is coming back to the NBC morning show for a special reason.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019ll want to come back tomorrow. Something to look forward to. Hoda is back. No, no, not for good. You\u2019re still stuck with me,\u201d Craig Melvin<\/a> announced on the Monday, September 22, episode of Today<\/em>. \u201cBut Hoda, she will be here to talk about a really special project, her new book, Jump and Find Joy<\/em><\/a>. It\u2019s all about embracing change in every season of life. She\u2019s gonna be here to talk about it tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n Savannah Guthrie<\/a> added, \u201cIt will be good to catch up with Hoda.\u201d<\/p>\n Kotb previously announced her new book, Jump and Find Joy: Embracing Change in Every Season of Life<\/em>, in a video message<\/a> on the March 10 episode of Today<\/em>. \u201cEverybody in their life, at one point, stands on the edge of something and says, \u2018Should I jump? Should I try? Should I go for it?’\u201d she said in the clip. \u201cAnd I felt that way about the Today<\/em> show, and I was terrified to even think about jumping.\u201d<\/p>\n Recalling a talk she had with her friend Maria Shriver<\/a>, Kotb continued, \u201cShe was like, \u2018You\u2019ve jumped your whole life. You were in small markets in television and you jumped from city to city. You jumped into relationships and out of them. You jumped into motherhood. You have a history of jumping, so don\u2019t tell me that you can\u2019t jump,’\u201d Kotb shared.<\/p>\n Kotb\u2019s book will include interviews from \u201cdifferent people who I\u2019ve loved and respected and admired who have been afraid to do something and have done it,\u201d including Viola Davis<\/a>, Sarah Jakes.<\/p>\n \u201cHere\u2019s my thing. You get one life. That\u2019s all. That\u2019s it. It\u2019s ready for the taking. But it takes a jump.\u201d<\/p>\n Kotb returned<\/a> to Today<\/em>\u2018s Studio 1A for the first time since her January show exit on May 28 to celebrate the launch of her wellness brand, Joy 101. The TV personality returned again<\/a> as a special correspondent on September 9 to highlight an inspiring New York City gym teacher.<\/p>\n During the episode earlier this month, Kotb gave an update on life post-Today<\/em> while catching up with her former cohosts. \u201cEverything\u2019s great. My kids are in 3rd grade and 1st grade. I now wake up at 5:30 [a.m.],\u201d she shared. \u201cI feel really good. My little business is doing its thing. I\u2019ve got a new book. It\u2019s just a different life, but it\u2019s funny how easily you can find yourself starting something new.\u201d<\/p>\n Out on the 30 Rockefeller Plaza, Kotb also reunited with Sheinelle Jones<\/a> on air for the first time since her husband Uche Ojeh\u2019s death. \u201cShe\u2019s changing lives just by being exactly who she is,\u201d Kotb praised. Referring to Jones and Guthrie\u2019s sit-down interview about Ojeh\u2019s death, Kotb added, \u201cThree of my friends called immediately after you guys were talking and said that they felt forever changed after listening to that conversation. So, I was saying, \u2018You don\u2019t have to make any effort. You just be, and you\u2019re doing what you\u2019re doing.\u2019 So, anyway, I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n Jones will step into Kotb\u2019s former shoes by cohosting the fourth hour of Today<\/em>, Today With Jenna & Friends<\/em>, with Jenna Bush Hager<\/a> all week.<\/p>\n
