As Gossip Girl<\/em> turns 18, Blake Lively is sharing some nostalgia-inducing throwback photos<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n On social media, the actress reflected on filming the hit series, which premiered in 2007, and she compared the experience to attending college<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Lively played Serena van der Woodsen on the TV series, sharing the screen with the likes of Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chase Crawford and Ed Westwick through 2012<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Blake Lively<\/a> is feeling nostalgic as she marks a special birthday.<\/p>\n On Sunday, Sept. 21, the 38-year-old actress took to Instagram to share a post celebrating the 18th anniversary of her hit series Gossip Girl<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n Lively brought It girl Serena van der Woodsen to TV screens across the globe in the hit show, which premiered in September 2007. She maintained her lead role alongside costars such as Leighton Meester<\/a>, Penn Badgley<\/a>, Chace Crawford<\/a> and Ed Westwick<\/a> through to the sixth and final season, which aired in 2012.<\/p>\n On Instagram, Lively shared a multitude of behind-the-scenes images from her time with the Upper East Siders<\/p>\n “The summer gossip girl turned 18\u2026” she captioned the post.<\/p>\n She continued, writing, “This show was my college. It was my education, my social life, my hardwork, my late nights and early mornings, my teacher. New York City and Silvercup Studios (& sometimes Paris \u2728) was my campus for SIX years.”<\/p>\n
