Jones Theatre.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-crosslink=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/person\/jessica-phillips\">Jessica Phillips<\/a>, whose theatrical credits include\u00a0<em>Dear Evan Hansen,\u00a0Next to Normal,\u00a0Leap of Faith,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Redwood,\u00a0<\/em>stars in the new musical that explores\u00a0love, resilience, and the impact of chronic illness on family. Watch Phillips perform the musical&#8217;s title song in the video above.<\/p>\n<p>Written and composed by husband-and-wife team Jenny Giering and Sean Barry, the musical is inspired by their own journey after Giering\u2019s breast cancer &#13;<br \/>\ndiagnosis. <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-crosslink=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/person\/paige-price-vault-0000068461\">Paige Price<\/a> directs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>What We Leave Behind<\/em> is a stunning new musical by the deeply gifted writing team of Jenny &#13;<br \/>\nGiering and Sean Barry\u2014an intimate, original piece that explores chronic&#13;<br \/>\n illness and resilience with raw honesty and emotional depth,\u201d said Eric&#13;<br \/>\n Woodall, Theatre Raleigh producing artistic director, in an earlier statement. \u201cWe are incredibly proud to produce this new work at Theatre Raleigh, and to have Broadway star Jessica Phillips bringing this role to life.
