Consequence<\/a> has come out with his own explanation for what he says really happened during Kanye West<\/a> and Michael <\/a>Che’s viral confrontation<\/a> after a taping of Saturday Night Live <\/em>in 2018.<\/p>\n Now that the In Whose Name?<\/a> <\/em>documentary, about key moments in West\u2019s life across several of his creative eras, has been released, a confrontation where Che accused the rapper of \u201cselling out\u201d the cast has become the talk of the internet. In the clip, Consequence can be seen trying to break up the situation, but what exactly happened was still unclear.<\/p>\n Now, Cons has shared a video giving his own explanation of how things went down.<\/p>\n \u201cWe wrapped, and it was 1:30 in the morning, and I had my seven-year-old son outside at night,\u201d he began. \u201cI was going to get my son when we had that conversation. Obsess.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cOnce I understood the context of what was being said, I realized the conversation was a confrontation,\u201d Consequence continued. \u201cBecause we were in a business setting, I tapped the gentleman on the shoulder and I said, we should reconvene this conversation for later.\u201d<\/p>\n Consequence then explained that a second event happened off-camera that people didn\u2019t see.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd what you don\u2019t see in the edit, which is why I don\u2019t f**k with edits, is that he came because he was at his job and he felt away,\u201d Consequence alleged. \u201cSo when he came back beefing, I told that n***a, \u2018You either back the f**k up, or we can go outside. He chose to back the f**k up, and I gathered everybody together. I said, ‘We\u2019re leaving,’ and we left.\u201d<\/p>\n The origin of Che and West\u2019s animosity stemmed from the rapper\u2019s onstage rant about his support for President Donald Trump that night. In that same speech, West criticized the SNL <\/em>cast, saying, “You can’t always have, every time you have a Black subject matter like [Bill] Cosby that you have to have a Black comedian talking about him.’\u201d<\/p>\n When Che approached Ye about the rant afterwards, the SNL <\/em>cast member was pissed about the rapper\u2019s Cosby comment.<\/p>\n “I’m the Black comedian that made a joke about Cosby,” said Che. “That’s fucked up.
