\u201cWeapons<\/a>\u201d director Zach Cregger<\/a> has more plans for Aunt Gladys, the wickedly talented occult expert played by Amy Madigan<\/a>. Cregger has directly confirmed that he\u2019s developing a \u201cWeapons<\/a>\u201d prequel that will focus on the character, affirming reports that a follow-up was in the works.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is real and I\u2019ve been talking to Warner Bros.<\/a> about it,\u201d Cregger told Fangoria<\/a> in a new interview. \u201cThere\u2019s a story and I\u2019m pretty excited about it. It\u2019s not bullshit.\u201d<\/p>\n

While studios often get to work on sequels after a film is a hit, Cregger says that he had already been mulling a concept for an Aunt Gladys prequel before \u201cWeapons<\/a>\u201d even came out and became a box office success, grossing more than $260 million worldwide.<\/p>\n
