King Charles III<\/strong> may have taken steps to rebuild<\/a> his relationship with his son, Prince Harry<\/strong>, but that doesn\u2019t mean he\u2019ll restore his official duties any time soon, the Daily Mail<\/em> <\/a>reported on Monday, September 22.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe king is a forgiving man,\u201d a source told the outlet, \u201cbut has been absolutely clear in upholding his late mother\u2019s decision that there cannot be \u2018half-in, half-out\u2019 members of the working royal family.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source blamed insiders close to Harry, 41, and his wife, Meghan Markle<\/strong>, 44, for encouraging speculation that Harry might use his recent trip to the U.K., during which he had a nearly hour-long meeting<\/a> with his father, 76, as a sign that he might resume<\/a> some occasional royal duties.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhoever is behind [the Sussexes] seems to have mistaken a brief tea and a slice of cake for the Treaty of Versailles,\u201d the source told the Daily Mail<\/em>.<\/p>\n
