Emma Watson<\/a> is coming clean about her least favorite part of being an actor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The \u201cHarry Potter\u201d star last appeared on screen in Greta Gerwig\u2019s 2019 adaptation of \u201cLittle Women,\u201d and while she said she misses the creative side, she told Hollywood Authentic<\/a> that she found the task of promoting a film afterward \u201csoul-destroying.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n She compared landing her role as the young witch Hermione Granger at age 10 to winning the lottery, but explained how a \u201cbigger component\u201d of the job was \u201cselling\u201d the projects, which she felt clashed with the idea that films are a \u201cpiece of art.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThe balance of that can get quite thrown off,\u201d Watson went on. \u201cI think I\u2019ll be honest and straightforward and say: I do not miss selling things. I found that to be quite soul-destroying.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The \u201cBeauty and the Beast\u201d star also called the pressure to maintain a polished public persona exhausting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI think what\u2019s interesting about being an actor is, there\u2019s a tendency to sort of fracture yourself into multiple personalities,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m not just talking about the roles you play, but having the weight of a public persona, that sort of needs constant feeding and sprucing and glamorizing.
