Meghan Markle is not the most popular member of the Royal Family<\/a>, according to YouGov’s most recent data. Although that might not come as a surprise to many, given her swipes at much-loved members of the Firm, 21% of those surveyed have a positive outlook on the former Suits actress.<\/a><\/p>\n

However, her popularity rating is the fifth-lowest of any member of the Royal Family. Top spot is commanded by future Queen, Princess Kate on 72% popularity. Prince William<\/a> is next on 71%, with Princess Anne in third on 59%.<\/p>\n

Next up is Sophie, Countess of Wessex on 54% followed by King Charles in fifth on 53%. Zara Tindall is sixth on 52%, while Queen Camilla is down in 9th on 37%, according to YouGov.<\/p>\n

However, who is below Meghan, occupying the bottom four places of the pollster’s list?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester<\/h3>\n

Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester is fourth from bottom on 15% popularity. However, unlike Meghan – whose ‘dislike’ rating is 59% – Prince Richard’s rating is only 13%.<\/p>\n

He was the second born son of Prince Henry and Princess Alice, Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and was never directly in line to inherit the title.<\/p>\n

His elder brother, Prince William<\/a> of Gloucester, was always set to follow in their father’s footsteps – but his death in an airplane crash in 1972 pushed Prince Richard into the spotlight.<\/p>\n

He is married to Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester<\/a> and the couple have three children: Alexander, Earl of Ulster, Lady Davina Windsor and Lady Rose Gilman.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Birgitte is only popular with 14% of respondents, putting her third from bottom. However, much like her husband, her ‘dislike’ rating is low – just 4%.<\/p>\n

Birgitte is a Danish-born member of the British royal family. She was born Birgitte Eva van Deurs Henriksen on June 20, 1946.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones<\/h3>\n

Lady Margarita has a positivity rating of only 12%, putting her second bottom. But, only 8% of respondents said they disliked her.<\/p>\n

Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones was born at the Portland Hospital in London on May 14, 2002 and is the youngest child of David, Earl of Snowdon and his ex-wife, Serena, Countess of Snowdon.<\/p>\n

Named after her grandmother, Princess Margaret, Lady Margarita is frequently seen at large-scale royal events and was a bridesmaid at the Prince and Princess of Wales’ wedding in 2011.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Prince Andrew<\/h3>\n

The ex-Duke of York was popular with only 9% of respondents, but 77% of respondents disliked him.<\/p>\n

The Prince’s association with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell<\/a> has critically undermined his reputation.<\/p>\n

Following criticism for his association with Epstein, Andrew stepped back from public duties in 2020.<\/p>\n

His honorary military affiliations and royal charitable patronages were removed by the late Queen in January 2022.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
