Tinie Tempah<\/a> has been away from music over the last few years, but after dropping his collab ‘Eat It Up’ with Skepsis<\/a>, and appearing in the Love Island villa<\/a> this year, the singer has now started to tease a new song.<\/p>\n Taking to his socials to share a couple of clips of his new song, along with a QR code, the singer confirmed the release date, writing: ‘Closer is out FRIDAY. Me + @abiflynnworld went crazy on this one \ud83e\udd2f<\/p>\n ‘pre-save in bio & I might just see u at the studio \ud83d\udc40\u2728’.<\/p>\n This follows Tinie’s post last week where he revealed it was a week until his new song’s release, playing a longer clip, and telling fans: ‘One week till \u2018CLOSER\u2019 is out. Let\u2019s lock in Junglelists \ud83d\udd10’. (sic)<\/p>\n It is called ‘Closer’.<\/p>\n It will be released on Friday 26th September.<\/p>\n Abi Flynn features on the new song. She is a Brighton-based singer and producer and has featured on songs by Nathan Dawe<\/a> (Here In Your Arms), Joel Corry<\/a> (‘Phases’) and D.O.D. (‘So Much In Love’).<\/p>\n Following his two breakthrough singles, Tinie worked with American singer Eric Turner to release ‘Written In The Stars’ in 2010. <\/p>\n The popular track was even used during the closing ceremony at the London Olympic Games in August 2012, and years later Tinie performed it live at Wembley Stadium before the FA Cup final in 2016. <\/p>\n Watch the official music video for ‘Written In The Stars’ right here.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Tinie and Labrinth have worked with each other a number of times over the years, but their 2010 collab ‘Frisky’ is certainly one to remember. <\/p>\n As well as lending his vocals to the track, Labrinth also produced the hit song which featured on Tinie’s debut album ‘Discovery’. <\/p>\n Watch the official music video for ‘Frisky’ right here. <\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Perhaps one of Tinie’s more surprising collabs, but still an absolute banger nonetheless! The song served as his first new music in two years. The music video was released in August 2025 and was set in a restaurant, where Tinie ordered some broth.
