In one of the biggest bombshell claims from her posthumous 2024 memoir, Lisa Marie Presley<\/strong> alleged that she had been molested by her mother Priscilla<\/strong>\u2019s boyfriend, starting when she was 10 \u2014 and now Priscilla is telling her side of the story.<\/p>\n \u201cHer revelation didn\u2019t make sense to me,\u201d Priscilla, who shared Lisa Marie with her ex-husband, Elvis<\/strong>, writes in her new memoir, Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis<\/em><\/a>. \u201cShe had told me something completely different at the time.\u201d<\/p>\n The Naked Gun<\/em> actress, 80, writes that her \u201cworld fell apart\u201d when Lisa was 14, and accused Priscilla\u2019s then-boyfriend, actor Michael Edwards<\/strong>, of drunkenly coming into her room at night and lifting the covers to look at her in bed.<\/p>\n Priscilla describes how upset she was by the news but insists that Lisa assured her he had never done it before and he hadn\u2019t touched her inappropriately.<\/p>\n When Priscilla confronted Edwards, he made it sound like he\u2019d innocently entered Lisa\u2019s room to tuck her in. Knowing her daughter \u201csometimes made up stories,\u201d she writes, \u201cI wanted to believe him. But Lisa had sensed that something was wrong, and I believed her.\u201d<\/p>\n Priscilla claims she was going to ask Edwards \u2014 who she dated for about six years \u2014 to move out, but Lisa \u201cbegged\u201d her not to.<\/p>\n But in 1988, four years after their split, Edwards admitted to \u201ccraving Lisa sexually\u201d in his tell-all<\/a>, Elvis, Priscilla and Me<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI was sickened,\u201d Priscilla writes, adding that the Mommie Dearest<\/em> actor called her years later to say he regretted writing about his attraction to a child.<\/p>\n \u201cIf he wanted my forgiveness, he didn\u2019t ask for it and wouldn\u2019t have gotten it,\u201d she writes. \u201cOne thing was certain. If Elvis had still been alive, Michael wouldn\u2019t have been calling me about his regrets. Elvis would have shot<\/a> him.\u201d<\/p>\n In her memoir, From Here To The Great Unknown<\/em>, Lisa Marie alleged<\/a> that Edwards began molesting her at 10, adding that after she told her mother, Edwards apologized.<\/p>\n But the abuse continued, she wrote. \u201cEventually it became that he would touch me and spank me, telling me not to look \u2014 \u2018Don\u2019t look at me,\u2019 he\u2019d say, \u2018don\u2019t turn your head.\u2019 I assume he was jerking off.\u201d<\/p>\n Edwards, 81, vehemently denied the molestation allegations last year, claiming in a statement to People<\/em><\/a> that he \u201cwas encouraged to embellish a harmless anecdote about Lisa\u201d by his editors.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/staging.globemagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/MEGA862002_023-scaled.jpg\")
