Rachel Bilson lost a job for being too candid about her sex life.<\/p>\n
During a recent appearance<\/a> on Nicole Byer\u2019s \u201cWhy Won\u2019t You Date Me?\u201d podcast, the \u201cO.C.\u201d alum, 44, recalled being fired by a company for discussing sex positions on a podcast in 2023. <\/p>\n \u201cDid I want to fight it? Absolutely,\u201d Bilson said. \u201cLook, I can see both sides. When you take something out of context and you read something as a standalone comment, it can come off a certain way, sure.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI said something like, \u2018I like to be manhandled,’\u201d Bilson recalled, noting that she was merely \u201cjoking around\u201d with her girlfriends when she made the sex comment two years ago.<\/p>\n The \u201cHart of Dixie\u201d actress also noted that her \u201cBroad Ideas\u201d podcast co-host Olivia Allen\u2019s 83-year-old mom got a kick off the remark.<\/p>\n \u201cShe was like, \u2018I like to be manhandled!\u2019 You know? Like everyone could relate,\u201d Bilson explained. \u201cBut because I used that word in whatever context, they just took that out of the conversation. It didn\u2019t sound great, I guess.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut I think it was a very conservative company so they weren\u2019t comfortable talking about sex at all, in general,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n Bilson reiterated that while she was \u201cjoking\u201d at the time, she knows she has to \u201cresponsible\u201d about what she says on podcasts.<\/p>\n \u201cMaybe don\u2019t get so comfortable like you are with your girlfriends \u2014 or maybe do and talk about that itself,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n \u201cBut I definitely felt myself filtering a little bit after that,\u201d Bilson continued. \u201cI was like, \u2018Oh my god, if I say this am I gonna lose this job? Am I gonna be judged? Shamed?\u2019 Whatever it may be.\u201d<\/p>\n
