Emma Watson<\/strong> breaks the silence on her seven-year-long hiatus from Hollywood and takes a break from acting<\/strong>. The star revealed that she misses the art of filmmaking but is in no hurry to step back into the Hollywood glamour.<\/p>\n Emma Watson hasn\u2019t returned to the big screen since her 2018 appearance on Greta Gerwig\u2019s Little Women.<\/strong><\/p>\n In a recent interview with Hollywood Authentic\u2019s Greg Williams<\/a>, the star has now opened up about her acting break and how the hiatus has made her feel \u201cmaybe the happiest and healthiest\u201d that she\u2019s ever been.<\/p>\n When asked if she is feeling well and happy, Watson addressed the burden of being \u201ca public persona, that sort of needs constant feeding and sprucing and glamorising.\u201d The actress shared that \u201cshedding the multiple identities has freed up so much space, I think, for me to be a better sister, daughter, friend, granddaughter, and then artist.\u201d However, Watson admitted that she misses acting and making movies except for the \u201cpromotion and selling of that piece of work.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI think I\u2019ll be honest and straight-forward, and say: I do not miss selling things. I found that to be quite soul-destroying. But I do very much miss using my skill-set, and I very much miss the art. I just found I got to do so little of the bit that I actually enjoyed,\u201d Watson revealed.<\/p>\n The Harry Potter star added, \u201cThe moment you get on a film set, you don\u2019t get very long for rehearsal. But the moment you get to talk through a scene \u2013 or I got to prepare and think about how I wanted to do something \u2013 and then the minute the camera rolls, and getting to just completely forget about everything else in the world other than that one moment \u2013 it\u2019s such an intense form of meditation.\u201d<\/p>\n Watson clarified that although she enjoys the artistic side of filmmaking, she does not enjoy the pressure that comes with it. \u201cIt\u2019s so freeing. I miss that profoundly. But I don\u2019t miss the pressure. I forgot it was a lot of pressure. I did a small thing for a play, just with my friends,\u201d she explained. Watson added, \u201cI was like, \u2018Bloody hell, this is stressful!\u2019 And that wasn\u2019t even for a real public audience or anything.
