Jimmy Kimmel is back on the air. But if you live in the Harrisburg area, you might not be able to see his return to the small screen.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s because Nextstar Media Group, which owns several ABC stations, including ABC27<\/a> in Harrisburg, said it would continue to preempt the show, \u201cpending assurances that all parties are committed to fostering an environment of respectful, constructive dialogue in the markets we serve.\u201d <\/p>\n The announcement comes on the heels of the Sinclair Broadcast Group saying<\/a> it would keep Kimmel\u2019s show off of its stations, although \u201cdiscussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show\u2019s potential return.\u201d<\/p>\n The two corporations collectively control about a quarter of ABC affiliates. <\/p>\n ABC, which is owned by Disney, announced yesterday <\/a>that it would reinstate \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cWe have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday,\u201d said a statement from the network.<\/p>\n The network had suspended the show indefinitely <\/a>last week after comments Kimmel made about President Donald Trump in the wake of the shooting death of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk<\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cWe had some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and with everything they can to score political points from it,\u201d Kimmel said during his opening monologue on Sept. 15.<\/p>\n If you want to watch Kimmel\u2019s return to television, the good news is there are other options. <\/p>\n \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d is available to watch via the streaming services Disney+<\/a> and Hulu<\/a>. <\/p>\n You can also also livestream the show via FuboTV (free trial) <\/a>or SlingTV (low intro rate)<\/a>. <\/p>\n Tonight\u2019s episode of \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live\u201d is scheduled to air at 11:35 p.m. ET or 10:35 CT Tuesday, Sept. 23, on most ABC stations. <\/p>\n It isn\u2019t know yet who the guests will be on tonight\u2019s episode. <\/p>\n The Associated Press contributed to this story.<\/i><\/p>\n If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
