PORTSMOUTH \u2014 Shawnee State University\u2019s Vern Riffe Center for the Arts<\/a> will open its 2025-2026 Performing Arts Series with \u201cShades of Bubl\u00e9: A Three-Man Tribute to Michael Bubl\u00e9\u201d on Sept. 26.<\/p>\n

The show will be held in the Eloise Covert Smith Theater and will begin at 7:30 p.m., according to a community announcement.<\/p>\n

\u201cShades of Bubl\u00e9: A Three-Man Tribute to Michael Bubl\u00e9\u201d will kick off the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts 2025-2026 Performing Arts Series on Sept. 26.<\/p>\n

\u201cShades of Bubl\u00e9\u201d features three voices singing songs like \u201cFeeling Good,\u201d \u201cMoondance,\u201d \u201cCome Fly With Me,\u201d \u201cHome,\u201d \u201cEverything,\u201d \u201cFever\u201d and \u201cSave the Last Dance for Me.\u201d The act has been performing for the past decade and delivers a setlist comprised only of songs recorded or performed live by Michael Bubl\u00e9. It honors, but doesn\u2019t imitate, the sophistication, retro style and high-energy fun that Bubl\u00e9 brings to his concerts, according to the announcement.<\/p>\n

Accompanied by a live, big-band combo, the show combines standards from the jazz era, classic hits of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, as well as Billboard chart toppers from today.<\/p>\n

Tickets for \u201cShades of Bubl\u00e9\u201d are available for purchase through the McKinley Box Office. Pricing includes adults for $38, seniors for $35 and 18 and under for $28. Purchases can be made online at vrcfa.com<\/a> by visiting the McKinley Box Office from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday in the VRCFA Selby Lobby, or by calling 740-351-3600.<\/p>\n
