Leading Brazilian producer Rodrigo Teixeira<\/a> of Rt Features<\/a> is teaming with Argentina\u2019s Rei Pictures<\/a> to produce Benjam\u00edn Naishtat<\/a>\u2019s \u201cGlaxo.\u201d Adapted from Hern\u00e1n Ronsino<\/a>\u2019s eponymous novel, the film will star Lali Esp\u00f3sito<\/a>, Esteban Lamothe<\/a> (\u201cEl estudiante<\/a>\u201d) and Marcelo Subiotto<\/a> (\u201cPuan<\/a>\u201d), with CAA Media Finance<\/a> handling sales. Production is scheduled to begin this year in Brazil and Argentina.<\/p>\n

The news comes as Esp\u00f3sito is serving on the Official Jury of the San Sebasti\u00e1n Film Festival, presided by J.A. Bayona<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Set in a small provincial town between the late 1950s and the 1980s, \u201cGlaxo\u201d tells the story of four young men whose friendship is shattered forever when a former policeman and his beautiful wife arrive in the town where the titular factory is located. The film is described as \u201cabout desire and revenge, set at a time when a whole country lost its innocence.\u201d<\/p>\n
