Lauren Conrad<\/a> is sharing a few very rare photos of her two kids.<\/p>\n On Tuesday, Sept. 23, the television personality, 39, shared a series of photos on Instagram<\/a>, which marked her first time posting on the social media app in almost a year. In the photos, the Laguna Beach<\/em><\/a> alum could be seen spending time on the beach with her two sons \u2014 Liam James, 8, and Charlie Wolf, 5 \u2014 as well as her husband William Tell.<\/p>\n “Saying goodbye to another amazing summer\u2026 became an auntie (twice!), spent a lot of time at the beach, traveled to fun places and then back-in-time to see BSB,” Conrad wrote in her caption.<\/p>\n Never miss a story \u2014 sign up for PEOPLE’s free daily newsletter<\/a> to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer\u200b\u200b, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n While Conrad chooses not to share much of her kids on social media, she appeared on the debut episode of the podcast\u00a0Perelel Lives<\/em><\/a>\u00a0in May 2022 and opened up about the struggles she experienced post-pregnancy<\/a>. At the time, she told host and Perelel co-founder Alex Taylor that she “lost herself” after the birth of son Liam.<\/p>\n “I was like, ‘I don’t know when I’m gonna get back,’ ” recalled Conrad. “Like, ‘Am I just a new human now?’ “<\/p>\n The entrepreneur said that while friends had given her some advice before giving birth, nothing they said could have prepared her for what was to come.<\/p>\n “I think I was just really focused on the exciting parts and knew I could get through the rest,” she said. “It’s like a funny game that women play with each other because you know it’s worth it, and you can’t just tell that to someone. I had friends who told me just enough; they told me the things I needed to know. … They helped me prepare with checklists and then were there for me afterwards, in a supportive way.”<\/p>\n “The emotional journey afterwards…was just really challenging,” Conrad added. She went on to say that it took “about a year” for her to feel herself again, pointing out that a close female friend assured her that she’d become someone “even better.”<\/p>\n Later that summer, Conrad shared photos on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>, celebrating the quality time she spent<\/a> with her two boys.<\/p>\n “We said goodbye to Summer in our happy place watching the sun rise and set, eating PB&Js on the beach and taking long walks,” she captioned the Instagram photo carousel.<\/p>\n The photos showed the boys exploring a beach town, though Conrad doesn’t specifically say where they spent the time.
