Former Dukes of Hazzard<\/em> star John Schneider<\/a> has just released a new song in tribute to the late Charlie Kirk, and in an interview, he says the song is a “battle cry” for conservatives.<\/p>\n

What Is John Schneider’s Song for Charlie Kirk?<\/h3>\n

The 65-year-old actor and country singer dropped a new song titled “Charlie’s Words” on Friday (Sept. 19), a little more than a week after Kirk’s death.<\/p>\n

The song is a testament to what Schneider sees as Kirk’s legacy after the conservative pundit’s untimely death at the age of 31.<\/p>\n

“Charlie’s words broke through the barricades \/ Charlie’s words cut through the dark \/ Charlie’s words gave silenced people a purpose and a spark \/ He spoke of me, he spoke of you \/ He spoke of them and us and we \/ Charlie’s words gave strength to people to get up on their feet \/ Speaking loud, speaking proud \/ With a voice God gave to them \/ I’ll tell you now, before we’re through \/ They’ve no idea what they’ve done \/ Or what we’ll do \/ Me and you \/ With Charlie’s words,”<\/em> he sings in the chorus.<\/p>\n

What Did John Schneider Say About Charlie Kirk?<\/h3>\n

In an interview with Fox News Digital<\/a>, Schneider gave a long answer when asked if the song was a call to action.<\/p>\n

“I think we’ve already been called to action,” he said. “I think this song is certainly a tribute to a wonderful guy. It’s a song for those who’ve already been called to action. So now it’s kind of a battle cry.”<\/p>\n

“It’s a call to battle,” he added. “But it’s a battle of wits. It’s a battle of intelligence. It’s the battle of good versus evil. I mean, I truly do believe we’ve been involved in a battle of good versus the evil in the last four or five years. And it amazes me how people can’t see that.”<\/p>\n

Schneider says he will donate the money from the release to Turning Point USA, a conservative group that Kirk founded.<\/p>\n

How Did Charlie Kirk Die?<\/h3>\n

Kirk was\u00a0shot and killed<\/a>\u00a0on Sept. 10 during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University.<\/p>\n

Authorities have arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson and charged him with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, obstruction of justice, two counts of witness tampering and commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors have said they intend to seek the death penalty in the case.<\/p>\n
