Obsess.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cThe only reason why I\u2019m still married is because somebody wants me to pay for their taxes,\u201d she said during the stream, without calling out Offset by his name. \u201cY\u2019all wanna know the tea? The only way I can get out of my marriage is if I pay for somebody else\u2019s taxes, even though I pay for my own, and give them one of my properties. I\u2019mma fight for that. This is not no love shit. I\u2019m not gonna stop living my life.\u201d<\/p>\n Cardi opened the stream in response to a wave of criticism after announcing she\u2019s expecting her fourth child\u2014her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs<\/a>, just days before the release of her new album Am I the Drama?<\/em><\/p>\n One of those critics included The Read<\/em> podcast co-host Crissle West<\/a>, who said that children \u201cneed parents who are very mindful and deliberate about bringing [them] into the world choosing to guide you into adulthood.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYo mama out here giving her pu**y to whoever the f**k she wants to and keeping whatever y\u2019all drop off in her fucking uterus is crazy,\u201d West said on the podcast.<\/p>\n \u201cAlso, stop trying to make it seem like I got a hundred gazillion baby daddies. I have three kids with one man that I got married with,\u201d Cardi also said on Monday\u2019s stream. \u201cYes, I’m having a baby with somebody else. So what that happens, it’s life.<\/p>\n \u201cLet me tell you something, I did things the correct way the first time. I fell in love. I got two rings in my finger. I lasted seven years, seven years that I didn’t have to last with somebody with. I lasted seven years in a marriage. Stop saying, oh, but you’re still married. No, I’m legally separated.\u201d<\/p>\n Elsewhere in the stream, Cardi said the toll of her relationship with Offset required her to seek an unspecified treatment.<\/p>\n \u201cY\u2019all don\u2019t know half of the shit,\u201d she exclaimed. \u201cI had to go to a fuckign hospital because I couldn\u2019t take it no more \u2026 When your management and your label is getting together because they are concerned, it’s time to go. When it\u2019s affecting your work and you can\u2019t even record, it\u2019s time to go. And I left. Goddamn.\u201d<\/p>\n In May 2025, Offset reportedly amended his divorce petition to request spousal support from Cardi. While an exact amount wasn\u2019t specified, Offset was also reported to be seeking joint custody of their three children: six-year-old Kulture, three-year-old Wave, and their infant daughter Blossom. His petition supposedly requested that Cardi\u2019s home be designated as the primary residence for their children.<\/p>\n The former couple began dating in early 2017 and secretly married in September of that year.
