Now, they\u2019re back with a new song and a new label home. Also co-produced with Walla, \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/newwst.com\/lightnight\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Light Night Mountains All That;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Light Night Mountains All That<\/a>\u201d is the Chicago rock band\u2019s debut single for <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/newwestrecords.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:New West Records;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">New West Records<\/a>. Ratboys drummer Marcus Nuccio directed the accompanying music video. Watch it below.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cMy original idea was to write an ultra-high energy folk song, in the style of The Dodos\u2019 <em>Visiter<\/em>, with somewhat spooky, mysterious, and pastoral lyrics\u2014like what Chris Otepka of The Heligoats might conjure up on a mushroom trip,\u201d Ratboys singer Julia Steiner said in a statement. \u201c[The] guys and I nearly went insane fleshing out the arrangement and its odd timings together. I wrote the lyrics during that original demoing trip, centered around the idea of a fantastic, rural vision-quest where the days and nights blend together and nothing is quite as it seems.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Ratboys have also announced a 2026 tour of North America, which kicks off February 25 in Detroit, Michigan and runs through mid-April.
