A new premiere date has not yet been set.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter careful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone\u00a0The Savant,\u201d an Apple TV+ spokesperson told Deadline<\/a>. \u201cWe appreciate your understanding and look forward to releasing the series at a future date.\u201d<\/p>\n Apple TV+ didn\u2019t elaborate on the decision further than that; however, Deadline believes the decision is likely related to the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Savant\u2019s subject matter is believed to be behind it, with the storyline and some of the imagery considered possibly triggering following the recent assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk,\u201d the article notes. \u201cThe series includes a sniper attack and the bombing of a government building, among acts of violence.\u201d<\/p>\n The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>\u2019s article on the situation further notes, \u201cThe Savant\u00a0doesn\u2019t parallel Kirk\u2019s murder beyond its general plot line surrounding politically motivated planned attacks on specific targets.\u201d<\/p>\n The official logline for the show reads, \u201cJessica Chastain stars as a top-secret undercover investigator known as the Savant, who infiltrates online hate groups to take down the most violent extremists in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to Chastain, the cast of the show, which is based on a 2019 Cosmopolitan article by Andrea Stanley, includes Cole Doman, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley, Toussaint Francois Battiste, Pablo Schreiber, and James Badge Dale.
