Violet Affleck has told the United Nations that she’s ‘terrified’ for the children of America due to an alleged ‘concealment’ of the ‘threat of long COVID’. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Daughter of Gone Girl <\/em>actor Ben Affleck<\/a> and Dallas Buyers Club <\/em>star Jennifer Garner, the 19-year-old has been vocal about the coronavirus pandemic<\/a> and its aftereffects in the past, arguing the importance of opposing face mask bans<\/a> to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors last year.<\/p>\n

Yesterday (September 23) though, she took things further by suggesting adults are guilty of trying to resume normality when the issue of spreading diseases<\/a> is far from over.<\/p>\n

“We are told by leaders across the board that we are the future,” began Violet’s address.<\/p>\n

“But when it comes to the ongoing pandemic, our present is being stolen right in front of our eyes.”<\/p>\n

The A-list offspring, who is currently studying<\/a> at Yale University, went on to criticise the older generation for their ‘relentless beat of back to normal, ignoring downplaying, and concealing both the prevalence of airborne transmission and the threat of long COVID’, according to her.<\/p>\n

Violet continued: “Young people lacked both real choice in the matter and information about what was being chosen for us,” before exploring the microscopic details of COVID-19’s catalysing virus.<\/p>\n

“Here’s what we know about SARS CoV2. It is airborne, floating and lingering in the air, one infection can result in disabling damage to almost every cell in the body from the brain and heart to the nerves and blood vessels.<\/p>\n

“Every subsequent infection increases the risk of long movement and places people who already have it in greater danger. As Dr. Akiko Iwasaki says, at this point, the whole population is the control group, and after only five years, long COVID has surpassed asthma as the most common chronic illness in children in five years and under.”<\/p>\n

Further along the student’s rant, she expressed fears of COVID-19 breaking out across schools, admitting she was ‘terrified’ over kids possibly not knowing ‘a world without debilitating pain and exhaustion’.<\/p>\n

“I am furious on their behalf,” she declared.<\/p>\n

“It is a neglect of the highest order to look children in the eyes and say, ‘We knew how to protect you and we didn’t do it. We have access to a technology<\/a> to prevent airborne disease, something that millions of our ancestors and millions of people around the world today would kill for, and we refuse to use it.<\/p>\n

“And I shudder to think of where we will be in another five years of unmitigated infection and reinfection.”<\/p>\n
