Portugal. The Man will return this fall with their 10th studio album, SHISH<\/em>, which will arrive Nov. 7 on the band\u2019s new label, KNIK. The singles \u201cTanana\u201d and \u201cMush\u201d are out now and can be sampled below.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Mush\u2019 is survival, connection and ambition,\u201d frontman John Gourley says. \u201cRural life with moments of danger and absurdity, like dirt bikes, smokers, gunfire and video games. The repeated line \u2018we can be family\u2019 pushes against isolation, reaching for something solid. This is a repeating theme on the record \u2014 build a life, support your people, buy land and grow something lasting. The message is simple: don\u2019t give up, want more and fight for it.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Spin:<\/p>\n As for \u201cTanana,\u201d Gourley says it \u201cvoices a generational sadness, searching for fleeting meaning in a world on edge.\u201d<\/p>\n The 10-track SHISH<\/em> follows the surprise June EP uLu Selects Vol #2<\/em> and is Portugal. The Man\u2019s first studio album since 2023\u2019s Chris Black Changed My Life<\/em>. It will be supported on a previously announced North American tour, which begins Nov. 6-7 in the band\u2019s adopted home base of Portland, Or.<\/p>\n Portugal. The Man will also visit the U.K., Ireland and Europe next year, with dates running from Feb. 23 in Dublin through March 17 in Vienna.<\/p>\n
