Nexstar<\/a> will keep \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!<\/a>\u201d off the air as it continues \u201cproductive\u201d discussions\u201d with Disney about bringing the late night show back to its affiliate stations.<\/p>\n

\u201cNexstar is continuing to evaluate the status of Jimmy Kimmel Live! on our ABC-affiliated local television stations, and the show will be preempted while we do so,\u201d the company said in a statement. \u201cWe are engaged in productive discussions with executives at The Walt Disney Company<\/a>, with a focus on ensuring the program reflects and respects the diverse interests of the communities we serve.\u201d<\/p>\n

Representatives for Disney did not immediately return TheWrap<\/a>\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n
