David Ajala<\/a> has been tapped to join \u201cLaw & Order<\/a>\u201d Season 25 as a series regular, TheWrap<\/a> has learned.<\/p>\n

The milestone season premieres Thursday with Ajala<\/a> starring as a detective serving the unit alongside Reid Scott<\/a>\u2019s Det. Vincent Riley<\/a>. The actor\u2019s arrival comes after Mehcad Brooks<\/a>, who played Det. Jalen Shaw<\/a>, departed the show after three seasons. It is still unclear whether Brooks\u2019 exit will be explained on- or off-camera.<\/p>\n

The rest of the main \u201cLaw & Order<\/a>\u201d team is set to return for the 25th season, including Tony Goldwyn<\/a> and Scott, whose contracts were also up for renewal this year, as well as Maura Tierney<\/a>, Hugh Dancy<\/a> and Odelya Halevi<\/a>.<\/p>\n
