After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020<\/a>, she used her platform to raise awareness about preventative care and advocate for change. Beattie\u2019s commitment to helping others was recognized with last year\u2019s\u00a0Lauren Holiday Impact Award<\/a>, an honor given to a National Women\u2019s Soccer League (NWSL) player who demonstrates outstanding service and character off the pitch.
