AMC Networks<\/a> has officially tapped a new cast member, who will be joining the upcoming third season of The Walking Dead: Dead City<\/a><\/strong>. Production on the new installment is currently underway in Boston.<\/p>\n According to Deadline, Emmy Award nominee Jimmi Simpson (It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Westworld) has been cast to play the series regular role of Dillard in The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3. Further character details about Dillard are still being kept under wraps. After leading the creative team during the first two seasons, series creator Eli Jorn\u00e9 is exiting the show as its showrunner. Replacing him as the new showrunner for Season 3 is Seth Hoffman, who previously executive-produced and wrote episodes for the original Walking Dead<\/a> series.
