Jennifer Aniston<\/strong> has reacted to Jimmy Kimmel’s reinstatement. The actress, who has been good friends with the late night talk show host for more than a decade, took to her Instagram Stories to show her support.<\/p>\n On Sept. 23, Aniston shared a photo from Jimmy Kimmel Live’s official Instagram account <\/a>which showed Kimmel walking underneath a lit up “on air” sign. Aniston added a simple red heart emoji above the snap.<\/p>\n Kimmel was taken off the air following his comments about Charlie Kirk’s death.<\/p>\n On the Monday, Sept. 15 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he addressed Kirk\u2019s murder during his opening monologue.<\/p>\n “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said on the episode, according to USA Today<\/a>.<\/p>\n Kirk was shot in the neck while speaking at Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem, Utah, on Sept. 10. Prosecutors have charged 22-year-old Tyler Robinson with aggravated murder, obstruction of justice and witness tampering, amongst other things, according to celebrity.land<\/a>. Investigators have been careful when describing Robinson’s political affiliation while the case is still very fluid. However, per BBC News<\/a>, Robinson’s mother claimed that her son had been leaning more left, “becoming more pro-gay and trans-rights orientated.”<\/p>\n Aniston has supported Kimmel since learning of the decision to take his show off the air. According to E! News<\/a>, the actress was one of some 400 celebrities to sign an open letter on Kimmel’s behalf.<\/p>\n \u201cJimmy Kimmel was taken off the air after the government threatened a private company with retaliation marking a dark moment for freedom of speech in our nation,” the letter, posted to the ACLU website Sept. 22, read.<\/p>\n “Regardless of our political affiliation, or whether we engage in politics or not, we all love our country,\u201d the letter continued. \u201cWe also share the belief that our voices should never be silenced by those in power\u2014because if it happens to one of us, it happens to all of us,” the letter continued.<\/p>\n Kimmel’s show resumed on Sept. 23 after six days.<\/p>\n This story was originally reported by Parade<\/a> on Sep 24, 2025, where it first appeared in the News<\/a> section.
