Jackson Dean <\/strong>is no stranger to a long haul flight, this will be his third trip to Australia in three years, but he\u2019s prepared for the lengthy journey \u201cyou just binge Lord Of The Rings<\/em> and do it,\u201d he laughs. \u201cThat should keep you occupied for like, 10 hours or so\u2026 but yeah it\u2019s a long one.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Still, there is nowhere else he\u2019d rather be headed. This October, Dean and his well oiled machine of a band are returning down under for their first major headlining tour – and they\u2019re not just playing the usual stops. From massive stages like the Deni Ute Muster <\/strong>and Savannah In The Round <\/strong>to smaller regional venues like the Torquay Hotel <\/strong>in Torquay and The Whalers Hotel<\/strong> in Warrnambool, the Maryland native is doing it all.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve kind of always wanted to go wherever they\u2019ll have me,\u201d he says. \u201cI love putting my boots on and going to work – and to get to do that all over the world? It\u2019s just awesome every time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite this being Dean\u2019s third tour of Australia he\u2019s still in awe of the response he gets when performing abroad. \u201cI\u2019ve rolled up to places I\u2019ve never been within a thousand miles of before, and people show up, and I\u2019m like \u2018how do you know who I am?\u2019\u201d he jests. \u201cThat feeling never gets old\u201d<\/p>\n

The Deni Ute Muster is one stop he\u2019s particularly excited for. \u201cI\u2019m expecting a legion of trucks,\u201d he laughs \u201cLike, people in the crowd\u2026 but in the trucks. That\u2019s what I\u2019m picturing.\u201d<\/p>\n
