Brad Winderbaum<\/strong>, the Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation at Marvel Studios, provided details about the release plans for future seasons of its animated shows, including X-Men \u201997<\/strong>, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man<\/strong>, and Marvel Zombies<\/strong>. The first show premiered on Disney+ on March 20, 2024, while the second series came out on January 29, 2025. The sophomore seasons of both shows are expected to debut in 2026. As for Marvel Zombies, it started streaming with all four episodes on September 24, 2025.<\/p>\n Winderbaum stated during a new interview with DiscussingFilm<\/a> that Marvel intends to release new seasons of its animated shows annually. When asked what strategy fans can expect going forward on the animation side, the executive responded, \u201cWhat\u2019s exciting about the next few years is that we are going to get subsequent seasons of X-Men \u201997 and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man on an annual cadence.\u201d<\/p>\n Winderbaum elaborated, \u201cSo, every year, there will be a new season, and we can map out a longer arc to those stories.\u201d<\/p>\n Given that the third seasons of both shows are currently in development, this means that they can come out in 2027. Winderbaum\u2019s comment also indicates that these shows can go on beyond Season 3. This isn\u2019t the first time Winderbaum has spoken about the annual release plans. He told Collider<\/a> in February 2025 that X-Men \u201897 and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man were \u201cthe top priorities in trying to get to a place where we can reliably have very strong seasons every year.\u201d<\/p>\n In the same interview with DiscussingFilm, Winderbaum reflected on how Marvel Zombies, the studio\u2019s latest release, fits into the above-mentioned release strategy. He replied, \u201cA single standalone epic adventure that Bryan [Andrews] and I want to make more of. I mean, this lore is like very rich, and there are stories that we talk about all the time.
