Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> held nothing back while addressing President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s reaction<\/a> to Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em><\/a>\u2018s return to ABC.<\/p>\n During the show\u2019s Wednesday, September 24, episode, Kimmel noted that he heard from several people about the series\u2019 first episode back<\/a> after suspension the night prior. \u201cI did hear from one very special friend moments after we taped our show last night,\u201d he joked, referring to Trump\u2019s Truth Social<\/a> post slamming Kimmel and ABC.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Mad Red Hatter wrote, \u2018I can\u2019t believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back.\u2019 You can\u2019t believe they gave me my job back? I can\u2019t believe we gave you your job back. We\u2019re even,\u201d Kimmel quipped. \u201cAnd there\u2019s more. [He said,] \u2018The White House was told by ABC that his Show was cancelled!\u2019 No, they weren\u2019t. [He said,] \u2018Something happened between then and now because his audience is GONE, and his \u2018talent\u2019 was never there.\u2019 That I can\u2019t argue with.\u201d<\/p>\n During the monologue, Kimmel reacted to an audience member who audibly inaudibly shouted from the crowd. \u201cShut the f**k up. The freedom of speech is only for me. Do not interrupt the president,\u201d he declared before reading more of Trump\u2019s Truth Social post.<\/p>\n \u201cHe says, \u2018I think we\u2019re going to test ABC out on this. Let\u2019s see how we do. Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 Million Dollars. This one sounds even more lucrative. A true bunch of losers!’\u201d Kimmel read, noting that \u201conly Donald Trump would try to prove he wasn\u2019t threatening ABC by threatening ABC.\u201d (Trump settled a $16 defamation lawsuit with CBS earlier this year.)<\/p>\n Kimmel said he almost feels \u201csorry\u201d for Trump\u2019s staffers \u201cwho try to clean up the messes,\u201d adding, \u201cThe second Trump is alone, he sits on the toilet, he gets his grubby little thumbs on his phone, and he immediately blows their excuses to smithereens and says it was ratings that got me fired. Has anyone ever been fired for bad ratings on a Wednesday?\u201d<\/p>\n For his \u201cbig closer,\u201d Trump wrote, \u201cLet Jimmy Kimmel rot in his bad Ratings.\u201d Kimmel, for his part, clapped back by pointing out Trump\u2019s own poor approval ratings, displaying statistics from outlets such as The Washington Post and The Economist on the screen. \u201cSo, on behalf of all of us, welcome to the crappy ratings club, Mr. President,\u201d Kimmel said.<\/p>\n The TV personality went on to address people who think he goes \u201ctoo hard\u201d on the president on his show. \u201cI want to explain. I talk about Trump more than anything because he\u2019s a bully. I don\u2019t like bullies. I played the clarinet in high school, okay, so I just don\u2019t like them,\u201d Kimmel told viewers. \u201cDonald Trump is an old-fashioned, \u201980s movie-style bully, taking your lunch money. And if you give it to him once, he\u2019ll take it again. Two things he loves, lunch and money.\u201d<\/p>\n Kimmel went so far as to compare Trump to the character of Biff from the Back to the Future<\/em><\/a> film franchise. \u201cLiterally, Donald Trump was the model for Biff in Back to the Future<\/em>,\u201d he joked. \u201cAnd this is who people are cheering for? I don\u2019t know about you, I\u2019m with Marty McFly.\u201d<\/p>\n Later in the monologue, Kimmel also poked fun at Trump for complaining about an escalator stopping as he and First Lady Melania Trump<\/a> walked on it during a recent trip to the United Nations.<\/p>\n \u201cTrump will not release the Epstein files, but we will be doing a thorough and complete investigation into who stopped his escalator,\u201d Kimmel said.<\/p>\n
