Queen\u2019s Brian May saw the Eagles play the Sphere in Las Vegas not long ago, and he hasn\u2019t stopped thinking about it since. \u201dI was blown away,\u201d he tells Rolling Stone in his interview for our new digital cover story<\/a> on \u201cBohemian Rhapsody\u201d at 50. \u201cIt\u2019s one of the best shows I\u2019ve ever seen in my life. Such a wonderful marriage of sound and wonderful music and incredible visual contact content. And yeah, it\u2019s got my mind working.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n May has since decided that he wants Queen\u2019s current incarnation, with Adam Lambert on vocals, to put on their own production at the futuristic venue. \u201c I\u2019m very keen on the Sphere,\u201d he says. \u201cI sat there watching the Eagles, thinking, \u2018We should do this. The stuff that we could bring to this would be stupendous.\u2019 So, yeah, I would like to do it. I had a few experiences recently where stuff happened at home with my family and I could not go home. It got under my skin and I just thought, \u2018I\u2019m not sure if I want this anymore.\u2019 I feel like I\u2019ve given up my freedom too many times. So my feeling at the moment is I don\u2019t want to tour as such. I still want to play shows. I still want to innovate.\u201d<\/p>\n In his own interview for the cover story, Queen drummer Roger Taylor reaffirms that he wants the band to go on. \u201c I don\u2019t think we\u2019re done,\u201d Taylor says. \u201cAnd I don\u2019t think we\u2019re gonna say, you know, final farewell tour or whatever. \u2019Cause it never is, is it?\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, May says the idea of new studio recordings with Lambert is \u201calways in the mind. Not many people know, but Adam and we have been in the studio trying things. Nothing really materialized so far.
