William Shatner<\/a> was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon after suffering a medical emergency.<\/p>\n Shatner, who is best known for his role as Captain James T. Kirk on \u201cStar Trek,\u201d<\/a> was reportedly experiencing issues with his blood sugar while in his Los Angeles home, according to TMZ<\/a>. He first called emergency medical service workers for help, who sent an LAFD ambulance to his residence as a precaution.<\/p>\n Shatner was then taken to a local hospital for evaluation and later returned home. \u201cHe\u2019s fine,\u201d Shatner\u2019s agent, Harry Gold, confirmed to the outlet.<\/p>\n The 94-year-old actor has been transparent with fans over the years regarding his health.<\/p>\n In March 2024, Shatner revealed that he had been diagnosed and was treated for stage 4 melanoma \u2014 an aggressive form of skin cancer that can spread to other parts of the body.<\/p>\n After noticing a lump under his right ear, Shater was initially told by his family doctor not to worry about it, he told Healio<\/a>. A month later, he got a second opinion and was diagnosed.<\/p>\n \u201cI said, \u2018Stage 4?\u2019 And someone in the room said, \u2018Sorry.\u2019 I said, \u201cWhat are you sorry about?\u2019 It was like, \u2018Better pack your things.\u2019 That person who said \u2018sorry,\u2019 that was very sad, like you are going to die,\u201d he recalled. \u201cAnd I was.
