The last time the world received music from Robyn<\/a> was in 2018’s Honey<\/em>, which was released to widespread critical acclaim. However, it seems that the Robyn drought may be coming to an end.<\/p>\n

Klas \u00c5hlund, a producer and one of Robyn’s longtime<\/a> collaborators, recently appeared on Nordmark Pod<\/em><\/a> and said:<\/p>\n

“Just finished a new Robyn album that’s coming out. Super exciting! Very proud of it.”<\/p>\n

Robyn is known to take a while between albums<\/a>. For instance, there was an eight-year gap between the last two.<\/p>\n

In April, the Swedish singer spoke about it a bit in an interview with PAPER<\/a><\/em>, where she was asked about her tendency to release music and then disappear from the public eye for years. Robyn said that she’s been in the studio a lot lately, making new music. “That’s what I’ve been doing for the last two years, but I’ve also had a baby, so my life has been very domestic and Stockholm-based,” she explained and said that having a baby made her excited to make music again because what once felt like work, now feels like a vacation (she said with a laugh).<\/p>\n

The world hasn’t heard much from Robyn in terms of new music in the last few years. She has been a featured artist on several collaborations over the last few years, including the remix of Charli XCX’s<\/a> “360” last year. Robyn also took part in Saturday Night Live<\/em>‘s 50th anniversary celebration earlier this year, performing her timeless hit “Dancing on My Own” and the Talking Heads’ “This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)” with David Byrne.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
