Scarlett Johansson<\/strong><\/a> revealed that she\u2019d like to host an episode of SNL<\/strong><\/a> with veteran actor June Squibb. Although it\u2019s still far from materializing, both actors have shared their interest in hosting the late-night live show.<\/p>\n Entertainment Tonight<\/a> interviewed Scarlett Johansson and June Squibb for Johansson\u2019s directorial debut, Eleanor the Great. In the video, the interviewer asked Johansson about her joking about hosting Weekend Update with June. When she was asked how close they are to making it a reality, Johansson excitedly said, \u201cWe need a public plea.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cFirst of all, I don\u2019t know if it really is a reality because June is doing a play,\u201d she added. Squibb, 95, responded by saying, \u201cI would have to get out for it.\u201d Johansson continued, \u201cThey would never ever let her out.\u201d<\/p>\n Squibb was later asked if she\u2019s up for it. She responded positively, saying, \u201cOh, sure, I would love it. Are you kidding? Saturday Night Live\u2014I\u2019ve watched it for years and years.\u201d<\/p>\n While this is the extent of the news about their possible hosting, they\u2019ve made it abundantly clear that they\u2019d like to host SNL. Meanwhile, SNL is returning for Season 51, where Johansson\u2019s husband, Colin Jost, co-hosts Weekend Update with Michael Che.<\/p>\n While Squibb has never hosted the show, Johansson has been a frequent host on SNL, hosting a total of seven times. This makes her the most frequent female host in the show\u2019s history (via NBC<\/a>). Furthermore, Johansson has appeared on Weekend Update multiple times, too.
