Moranis, Zuniga, Pullman, Brooks, and Wyner are set to reprise their iconic roles in the sequel to the 1987 sci-fi spoof, with Gad, Palmer, Lewis Pullman, and Anthony Carrigan playing new, undisclosed characters.<\/p>\n
“After 40 years we asked, ‘What do the fans want?’ But, instead, we’re making this movie,” Brooks said in a prior video message announcing the film, before speaking one of the iconic lines from the original as he signed off saying, “May the Schwartz be with you!”<\/p>\n
Set for theatrical release in 2027, plot details are still a secret, though the press release jokes that “the title is rumored to be the name of the movie, and plot details are being described as information about what happens in the story.”<\/p>\n
