Jeopardy!<\/a> contestants were slammed for not knowing who Kris Kristofferson<\/a> was, despite being shown a photo of the country music star and actor on the game show<\/a>. This isn\u2019t the first time fans called out the contestants for not knowing a celebrity this season.<\/p>\n Steve Olson, from Princeton, Illinois, played against Natalie Shapero, from Los Angeles, California, and Jaedon Jerue, from Danville, Illinois, on Wednesday, September 24, for his fourth game.<\/a><\/p>\n There were four Triple Stumpers during the first round, but the one that shocked fans the most was the one about Kris Kristofferson. In \u201cCountry Music,\u201d the game show contestants didn\u2019t know \u201cIn 1971, 3 of the 5 Grammy<\/a> Country Song nominees were written by\u00a0this late master, not yet a movie actor.\u201d A picture was shown of the actor, but no one got clue 20.<\/p>\n \u201cOh, what a shame. That\u2019s the great Kris Kristofferson,\u201d host Ken Jennings<\/a> said. The contestants also didn\u2019t know Chris Stapleton<\/a> in the same category.<\/p>\n Jeopardy! fans were shocked that none of the contestants knew Kristofferson. \u201cNone of tonight\u2019s geniuses knew Kris Kristofferson? Even with a photo? Shameful,\u201d a member of the Facebook group, Jeopardy Fan Group<\/a>, posted.<\/p>\n \u201cI know\u2026 generation gap,\u201d replied one fan.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re smart, but not country smart apparently,\u201d said another.<\/p>\n \u201cSo sad how quickly they forget,\u201d a third added.<\/p>\n \u201cI was screaming at the screen,\u201d a fan wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cI was sadly surprised,\u201d a Facebook user said. Others said they were \u201ctoo young.\u201d<\/p>\n However, on the other side of it, fans said it wasn\u2019t the best picture of him. \u201cFrankly, that wasn\u2019t a very good photo of Kris Kristofferson,\u201d one said.<\/p>\n \u201cIt didn\u2019t look like him,\u201d a fan defended.<\/p>\n Kristofferson was a country music star and actor who died<\/a> in September 2024. Some of his most popular songs included \u201cMe and Bobby McGee,\u201d \u201cHelp Me Make It Through The Night,\u201d and \u201cFor The Good Times.\u201d As an actor, he starred in the 1976 version of A Star is Born<\/a>, the Blade <\/a>trilogy, Planet of the Apes<\/a>, and more.<\/p>\n This isn\u2019t the first time contestants didn\u2019t know a Hollywood staple. On September 15, the contestants looked at a picture of James Earl Jones<\/a>, who also died<\/a> in September 2024, and couldn\u2019t name him.<\/a> However, it was a younger photo of him, but he still looked pretty much the same.<\/p>\n
