As Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, looks to expand into the traditional TV space, the YouTuber is leaning on the expertise of former NBC unscripted TV boss Corie Henson.<\/p>\n
Henson will serve as head of Beast Industry Studios, which oversees MrBeast\u2019s YouTube channels and \u201cBeast Games,\u201d his Prime Video competition series that has been renewed for two additional seasons. MrBeast, who currently has over 440 million subscribers, plans to develop more scripted and unscripted series.<\/p>\n

She developed and launched an unscripted programming strategy that included \u201cWipeout,\u201d \u201cHogwart\u2019s Tournament of Houses\u201d and more. She was also formerly the EVP of Fox Alternative Entertainment, spearheading strategy for shows like \u201cThe Masked Singer,\u201d \u201cMasterChef,\u201d \u201cSo You Think You Can Dance,\u201d \u201cHell\u2019s Kitchen\u201d and \u201cBeat Shazam With Jamie Foxx.\u201d<\/p>\n Prior to Fox, she served as executive vice president of unscripted television for the multi-platform studio Electus, overseeing series including NBC\u2019s \u201cRunning Wild With Bear Grylls,\u201d truTV\u2019s \u201cBreaking Greenville\u201d and National Geographic\u2019s \u201cSouthern Justice.\u201d She also served as ABC Entertainment\u2019s vice president of alternative series, overseeing \u201cDancing With the Stars\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cExtreme Makeover: Home Edition,\u201d\u00a0as well as developing and launching\u00a0\u201cShark Tank\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cExtreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition.\u201d<\/p>\n Additionally, she previously produced a wide variety of shows for broadcast, cable and daytime, including CBS\u2019 \u201cBig Brother,\u201d NBC\u2019s \u201cGrease: You\u2019re the One That I Want,\u201d Fox\u2019s \u201cOn Air With Ryan Seacrest\u201d and TLC\u2019s \u201cThe Secret Life of a Soccer Mom.\u201d She also executive produced the Critics\u2019 Choice Awards\u00a0and oversaw live red carpet coverage for the major award shows at E! Entertainment Television earlier in her career.<\/p>\n \u201cBeast Games\u201d first premiered on Prime Video in 2024, which saw 1,000 players compete for a $10 million cash prize, and went on to become the service\u2019s most-watched unscripted show ever with 50 million viewers in its first 25 days. It was renewed for a second and third season in May.<\/p>\n The series is co-created by Donaldson, Sean Klitzner, Tyler Conklin and Mack Hopkins, with Klitzner and Matt Apps as showrunners.
